For the Spring/Summer 2017 Fashion Week in Paris, I was lucky enough to be invited to two shows, none but Lanvin and Hermès ! It was a real pleasure, especially since I am a huge fan of these two brands!!!!
- Lanvin Spring/Summer 2017 :
On the second day of Paris Fashion Week, I am invited to attend the presentation of the collection on Wednesday the 28th of September at 12pm at the town hall in the fourth arrondissement of Paris. I arrive fifteen minutes early, which is plenty of time as the shows always start late, so infact I’m really early!
A horde of photographers are on the scene to capture the most daring looks (the famous street-styles that I love so much), the crowd, magazine editor-in-chiefs, models, etc….
Street-style before the show…
I take a seat, as the show is starting soon. On each seat there is a folding hand-fan (Lanvin, of course) because it is ridiculously hot (because of the spotlights), plus an information sheet describing the show to come!
It’s the first collection of Bouchra Jarrar for the Lanvin fashion house, who was named the artistic director several months before, so the show is much-awaited.
To kill some time, I take some selfies in this typically Parisian setting.
I cross paths with Mademoiselle Agnes, who I like very much, and take the opportunity to get a photo with her!
My top 10 looks :
A feminine and glamourous collection. The Lanvin motifs are there – transparency, tweed, flowers, feathers, light and airy materials, and the tuxedo revival…. Anyway, both elegance and sensuality are at the meeting. Here is my selection of the best looks.
- Hermès Spring/Summer 2017 :
On Monday the 3rd of October, I go to the Republican Guard in the fourth arrondissement of Paris, which is the ideal place to host this show, where the horses and brand emblems are part of the décor.
The atmosphere inside is impersonal and refined, with long corridors covered in white panels. A serious atmosphere, without extravagance.

My top 10 looks :
A summer collection in bright colours, ranging from pastel pink to fuschia, yellow, green, etc. The cuts give a stylish, strict and sophisticated look all at the same time. The waist line is emphasised, smocked or belted, to create the perfect hourglass figure. A Hermès requirement, leather is very much present: on blouses, on dresses, on coats but also with fringing, which I preferred.
