Fashion Week Autumn-Winter 18/19 #PFW

From the 26th February to the 6th March 2018 Paris Fashion Week took place. I was very lucky to help five unbelievable fashion shows: Saint Laurent, Elie Saab, Hermès, Giambattista Valli, and finally Chanel.

I will share my favourite looks from the different designers, and also my own looks for the shows.

  • Saint Laurent, Tuesday the 27th February at 8pm :

Being a biiiiiiiiiiiig fan of this brand, I was super excited by the idea of helping this show. Saint Laurent is rock, powerful, sexy…. Basically, a confident look in every situation.

My look :

Obviously, I’m wearing Saint Laurent, a long velour dress with shoulder pads with a shiny side split, and velour Niki boots. To add a touch of colour, I’ve accessorised with a fuchsia clutch bag by the brand M2Malletier. A single earring, on just one side for a rock look, which is made of diamonds on a curved bar from Djula and a panther Cartier ring in white gold.

The show :

At the foot of the Eiffel Tower, you will find the fountains of Trocadero – you couldn’t be more Parisian. A €400,000 structure has been built for the 10-15 minute show. Yes, it’s crazy, but it’s YSL. Inside there is a sombre atmosphere, mysterious. A bit of smoke, off we go…..

My top 10 looks :

Anthony Vaccarello was inspired by the collection “The Russian Peasants of 1976”. The show is divided into two parts – the first is very dark (which is emblematic of Saint Laurent), lots of leather, velour, boots, etc….. and the second is very flowery and colourful with embroidery and sequins. Here are my favourite looks :

  • Elie Saab, Saturday the 3rd March at 3pm :

My look :

A completely white look, I find it so elegant, even more so in the winter when everyone is wearing black. Elie Saab is a very dressy and feminine brand, which is why I chose this look. A Max Mara coat, sunglasses from Illesteva, belt from Isabel Marant, tights from Wolford and ankle boots from Kurt Geiger.

My top 10 looks :

The brand is always very elegant, glamourous and refined, but also has a slight rock edge which is very noticeable. The dresses are very transparent (I love that!), shiny, with embroidery, feathers and unbelievable boots (glittery, thigh-highs). I’ll let you be the judge!

  • Hermès, Saturday 3rd March at 6pm :

As soon as the Elie Saab show has finished, I’m running to change for the Hermès show. I really love this brand, which, in my opinion, is a synonym of elite, quality and timeless.

The show :

In a location which is as surprising as it is out of the ordinary, the Victor Duruy High School, the show took place in their big garden at sunset. Transformed into an urban jungle, the red-orange lights reflecting on the trees, the ground is made of a red gravel; a modern, dark and sensual atmosphere.

My look :

I was mainly wearing Hermès pieces – trousers, a clutch and an earring. The ankle boots are by Balenciaga, the jacket and shirt by Saint Laurent and the fur scarf by Sonia Rykiel.

My top 10 looks :

As always, exceptional leathers cut perfectly, the mix of colours were particularly successful yet unusual, and high-waisted skirts for powerful and determined women. In short, I love it, I love it, I love it!

  • Giambattista Valli,  Monday 5th March at 1.30pm :

The show :

It took place at the Palais de Tokyo – the interior with its industrial loft look contrasted with the fashionable and elegant spirit of the brand. The idea and the finish were put together very well.

My look :

The dress is by RedValentino, the belt Giambattista Valli, the boots Le Silla, the jacket Saint Laurent and the cap Ruslan Baginskiy. Lots of photos to see the look behind all the styles.

My top 10 looks :

The mix of styles for this collection, there is something for every mood: from the sexy woman with the short sequin dresses and patent leather thigh-high boots, to the bohemian woman with the long teddy bear coat and refined long white dress with sandal/slippers in curly wool. In the end, that’s fashion, choose your clothes according to your desires!

  • Chanel, Tuesday 6th March at 10.30am :

Last day of Paris Fashion Week and it is time for the most awaited show, like every season…. Chanel.

The show :

Once again, the brand has not broken the rules and has surprised everyone. Again, an unlikely staging, the Grand Palais has transformed the space into a forest, tonnes of dead leaves on the ground, moss-covered trees in the centre…

My look :

A Chanel dress with black and white sequins and a few embroidered pearls on the collar and sleeves (to die for!), Chanel bag, blue metallic leather boots by Kurt Geiger, sunglasses by Roberi and Fraud.

My top 10 looks :

Beautiful materials, thick materials (felt-like wools, tweeds), sparkling blacks, contrasts of textures… A beautiful winter collection with its natural tones, beiges and browns, but also metallic and bright leathers. A firm favourite were the fake furs which appeared to be the real thing, incredible!

And there we go, another Fashion Week is over. The next one is happening at the end of September and I already can’t wait to be there!!

Kiss, kiss fashionistas!

Sexy in Givenchy (evening look)

Tonight it’s romantic evening in a very nice restaurant. I chose a black look for the chic and a for the sexy side!

A rule to remember; the neckline is allowed if the bottom is long, if you wear short, the deep neckline is to be avoided! It’s one OR the other but you have to choose what you want to show!

And now, here are the pictures!!

So Frenchy

Hello Fashionistas!!! I don’t know about you but I’m really looking forward to the Paris Fashion Week which takes place in few days. I’ll have an article for you on this very soon… Bring on the shows, I can’t wait anymore! While we wait, here are some photos of my look of the moment, very Frenchy, made up mainly of “Made in France” brands on the superb Place de la Concorde.

Dans quel monde Vuitton ?

Here’s me at the Louis Vuitton Foundation in the 16th arrondissement of Paris, to discover the Chtchoukine exhibition. I love this place with modern and vast architecture. To honour the place, I’m wearing some Louis Vuitton pieces, an immortalised wink with a burgundy look which I particularly appreciate in the autumn-winter season!

Urban & Sequins

The military style jacket is one of the big trends this year. You can wear it with several different looks, from the most sophisticated to the most simple;  a sexy tight fitting dress, shorts, ripped jeans…it will instantly give a rock and alternative edge to your outfits! I chose sequins and pearls for mine its more refined and feminine look… See for yourself!

Singapore party dress!

Here’s me in Singapore, an incredible city where tradition and modernity come together. I found the perfect dinner outfit, inspired by the traditional Chinese dress called “Qipao” with its high Mao-style collar and motifs. This Asian-influenced dress, reinvented by Alfredo Villalba, is made for this place!                                                                                                                                                             Here are some photos of this look by Marina Bay in Singapore!!

“In the navy”

A new take on the navy look by House of Holland, an eccentric English brand which teams originality and feminity. I love this lace-up skirt and crop-top combo… And you?

Dolce Vita

This short is part of the “Carretto Siciliano” Spring/Summer 2016 collection by Dolce & Gabbana. These prints give off the real soul of Sicily! This collection is perfect if, like me, you like colour and originality, and is ideal for taking holiday! Avoid wearing the prints all over I’d say just one piece is enough to make the most of the look.

Army

A commando feel with this army look. I’ve opted for a regular-cut dress with puff sleeves and asymmetrical zip. The short length is so feminine and lets you show off your legs!
